INTRODUCTION
This document has been prepared as a guide for NKCONSULTUM.COM's "Strategy Development and Management", "Brand and Competitiveness Analysis", "Structuring and Management Consulting" services applications.
DEFINITIONS
Firm: Here, firm is used for company/institution/organization/person etc as an economic legal entity. The legal name of the entity has to be used in all its transactions.
Business area: It is used in the sense of branch, market, sector to work and to earn money.
WHAT IS STRATEGY IN BUSINESS LIFE?
Strategy in business life is determining the direction and the way to reach the goals set by the company, and managing how to reach the goals on the direction and the path determined. Strategy is a kind of design; it is to be prepared in advanced. It is determining the behavior patterns to achieve the goals; it is the ability to foresee effectively to continue to exist in the changing conditions in the field of business. It is a philosophy of being in the business life, a point of view to business. In short, it is to create a common set of understanding in which goals, policies, works and plans made are compatible with each other.
OBJECTIVES IN FORMING THE STRATEGY
Our priority is to put the customer (company/institution/organization/person) in a different, unique and preferable position in their business area, to create a unique added value for them, and to create a clear and applicable strategy that will ensure sustainable competitiveness.
First of all; the firm must have a clear understanding of its distinctive feature(s) that will make it being preferred. If this is missing or not enough, the first thing to do is to bring out the distinguishing feature (features) of the company from other similar companies. By the awareness of the features, the company's goals should be revealed with all their clarity and how these goals can be achieved should be determined.
Strategy is not just about farsightedness and/or planning. One can be deceived if only thinks to control the future. The main purpose is to make careful and meaningful analyzes that can positively affect one’s company's position in the market. In summary -in sailor jargon- the purpose for a good strategy; when it starts to be implemented, it is to be the guide ship that creates the wake, not following the the wake.
STRATEGY APPROACH
It would not be the right approach to say that the best way to develop a strategy is this. Basically, the strategy is to establish an appropriate management system and process.

Business strategy is an organization's way of saying how it creates unique value and thus how it will impact the customer. Unless it is a new brand start, to understand the strategy of a particular firm, ıt is necessary to understand what are the factors that make the company what it is today.
